The Agent Operating System Guide
AI agents are not chatbots with longer prompts. They are software actors embedded in workflows, tools, knowledge systems, and governance boundaries. The Meta3 Agent Operating System defines the architecture required to make agents useful in production: an orchestration layer routing work across agent roles, each connected to tools and APIs, memory and knowledge, evaluation and QA, and governance with escalation — grounded in enterprise systems, knowledge graphs, observability, and risk controls. Every agent should be documented through a standard card covering mission, responsibilities, inputs, outputs, tools, memory, permissions, escalation rules, KPIs, guardrails, evaluation tests, owner, and lifecycle status. Production agents need observability, versioning, auditability, permissions, and failure handling; without these, agent deployments become fragile demos rather than reliable operating capabilities. The full guide — agent design templates, role library, tool permission model, memory architecture, RAG and knowledge strategy, evaluation harness, risk taxonomy, and production readiness checklist — is available on qualified request.
